Odin Life

Honor in the hall

Rules and expectations

Clear standards protect fair play, strong stories, and the community we are building together.

Roleplay is collaborative.

No rulebook can cover every possible situation. Use reasonable judgment, avoid loopholes, and consider how your actions affect everyone involved.

Conduct across Odin Life

Community Rules

These rules apply across the game server, website, Discord, and other official Odin Life spaces.

01

Use good judgment

Do not look for loopholes or technicalities to justify behavior that is clearly unfair or harmful to the community.

02

Treat everyone with respect

Harassment, discrimination, targeted abuse, excessive toxicity, and deliberately disruptive behavior are prohibited. In-character conflict does not excuse attacking someone personally.

03

Keep personal disputes outside the community

Do not use Odin Life to spread drama, private information, or accusations against another member. Serious concerns should be brought privately to staff.

04

No cheating or exploiting

Unauthorized software, scripts, duplicated items, unintended mechanics, and knowingly abusing glitches are prohibited. Report serious bugs instead of benefiting from them.

05

Do not evade disciplinary action

Creating another account or using someone else's account to avoid a warning, suspension, or ban is prohibited.

06

Do not advertise without permission

Advertising another gaming community, Discord server, product, or service requires management approval.

07

No real-world trading

In-game money, property, vehicles, equipment, services, or accounts may not be exchanged for real money or anything of real-world value.

08

Use appropriate names and communications

Character names, profile names, voice communication, and written messages must remain appropriate. Mic spam, soundboards, and excessive background noise should not interfere with others.

09

Follow staff instructions

Staff decisions must be followed at the time they are issued. If you believe a decision was incorrect, use the proper appeal process instead of arguing publicly or disrupting the server.

10

Submit honest reports

Reports must be truthful and supported by relevant evidence whenever possible. False reports, edited evidence, retaliation, and reports submitted purely to harass another player are prohibited.

Standards inside the game

Roleplay Expectations

These rules establish the basic standard expected during gameplay and character interactions.

01

Stay in character

Keep active situations focused on roleplay. Discussions about administrators, reports, punishments, game mechanics, or technical problems should be handled after the scene.

02

Place roleplay ahead of winning

The objective is to create enjoyable stories—not to win every confrontation, protect every item, or turn every disagreement into a gunfight.

03

Use only information learned in character

Information obtained through Discord, livestreams, private messages, another character, or conversations outside the game cannot influence your character unless it is properly introduced through roleplay.

04

Do not force an outcome

You cannot simply declare that another character has been searched, injured, identified, disarmed, or otherwise affected. Allow other players to participate and respond.

05

Your character should value their life

Treat weapons, injuries, and overwhelming threats seriously. Restrained, surrounded, injured, or heavily outnumbered characters should not behave as though death has no consequences.

06

Death begins a new chapter

After respawning, do not return to the unresolved scene that caused your death or use information learned during that situation.

07

Do not avoid active roleplay

Disconnecting, respawning, storing equipment, or abusing another mechanic to escape an active situation is prohibited. Genuine disconnections should be followed by an attempt to return and continue.

08

Hostile intentions must be clear

Before beginning a robbery, kidnapping, or violent confrontation, clearly explain what you want and what may happen if the person refuses. Give them a reasonable opportunity to understand and respond.

09

No random deathmatching—RDM

Injuring or killing someone requires a legitimate roleplay reason and a properly established conflict.

10

No vehicle deathmatching—VDM

Vehicles may not be deliberately used to run people over or repeatedly ram other vehicles without an immediate and believable reason.

11

Crime should create interaction

Robberies, kidnappings, and organized criminal activity should have an understandable purpose. Constantly targeting players solely for equipment, vehicles, or easy money is not meaningful roleplay.

12

Do not manufacture conflict

Repeatedly provoking police, gangs, civilians, or emergency services merely to create a pursuit or firefight is prohibited.

13

Do not interfere without a reason

Players should not insert themselves into active situations unless their character has a genuine connection and believable reason to become involved.

14

Faction members carry additional responsibility

Police officers, firefighters, and medical personnel must behave professionally and follow their departmental procedures. Faction authority, equipment, vehicles, and information may only be used for legitimate duties.

15

Emergency personnel should remain neutral

Fire and medical personnel are present to protect life and manage emergencies. Interfering with, robbing, kidnapping, or attacking them requires substantial roleplay justification.

16

Handle rule concerns after the scene

Do not interrupt roleplay by quoting rules or threatening to report someone. When reasonably possible, finish the interaction, preserve your evidence, and contact staff afterward.
